items: items 1: content: As someone who commutes a lot and needs to stay focused during the day, the noise cancellation on these has been a game changer for me. The 2x improvement over the previous model is extremely noticeable, as i can now hear dramatically less background noise when I'm trying to concentrate. Hooking them up to my phone with Bluetooth was simple! Just hold down the button on the back of the case while your phone is searching for a device. What I wasn't expecting was that upon hooking them up to my phone with Bluetooth, without even being on a call yet, the noise cancellation was activated.. I never realized how loud the world was before I had these. But they didn't make everything so silent that you are not completely aware of your surroundings, thanks to transparency mode which you can easily switch in or out of. It's useful when I'm walking through a busy city street or while I'm at home with my kids so that I can hear any nearby conversations, traffic noises, announcements, or people speaking to you, without having to constantly take the earbuds out! I don't feel isolated from my environment this way. Needless to say, the audio quality while in call, or listening to music is flawless. It's been a while since I've been able to actually hear the other caller or music with such clarity, and the caller could hear me perfectly too thanks to the personalized spatial audio and volume adjustments that really tailored the experience to my preferences. I love how immersed I feel in my music and podcasts. The comfortable silicone tips also help keep the AirPods securely in my ears while doing chores at home or during workouts. I will admit that at first I wasn't sure if they would actually stay in my ear the whole time without slipping out, because regardless of which size tip I put in (they include 3 different sized silicone tips), it just felt like it wasn't going to hold, but to my surprise it held quite well without me having to constantly push it back in. As for the battery life, I can get up to 6 hours of use with the noise cancellation feature on, versus the 4.5 hours of the previous model. And the MagSafe charging case extends that to a total of 24 hours, so I rarely have to worry about running out of battery. As a frequent earbud user, the upgrades in these 2nd generation AirPods Pro have been nothing short of amazing! The noise cancellation, transparency, and audio customization features make them a pleasure to use in all the settings of my busy life. Please don't hesitate to consider getting a refurbished product from Bestbuy! The Geek Squad certified refurbished condition ensures that you're getting a high quality product at a better value. And they arrived in excellent condition too! Overall, I'd highly recommend these earbuds to anyone that's in the market for a premium wireless audio experience.

items 2: content: I recently purchased the Apple AirPods Pro 2 and they've completely transformed my listening experience. The active noise cancellation is an absolute game changer - it's incredible how effectively these earbuds block out background noise, whether I'm on a busy commute or trying to focus in a noisy environment.
Apple has really outdone themselves with the sound quality. The audio is crisp and clear, with rich bass and detailed highs that make everything from podcasts to music sound fantastic. The transparency mode is equally impressive, allowing me to stay aware of my surroundings when needed without removing the earbuds.
The fit is comfortable for extended wear, and the battery life easily gets me through long days. As expected from Apple, the seamless integration with my other devices makes switching between phone calls, music, and videos effortless.
Apple continues to set the standard for premium electronics, and these AirPods Pro 2 are another example of why I trust their products. The combination of cutting-edge technology, reliable performance, and that signature Apple polish makes these earbuds well worth the investment. If you're looking for top-tier wireless earbuds with noise cancellation that actually works, these are the ones to get.

items 3: content: This is my 3rd pair of AirPods Pro. I bought the 2nd pair because of the improved noise cancellation in the 2nd generation. I never thought it would be worth upgrading to the latest USB-C version (The previous versions of AirPods Pro had a Lightning port instead of USB-C) since the sound quality was the same. But then I purchased the new Apple Vision Pro VR headset. After doing some research, I found out that only the latest USB-C AirPods Pro supports lossless audio with the Vision Pro. According to Apple, the H2 chip in the previous version of the AirPods Pro is limited to the 2.4GHz band, but the H2 chip in the latest version supports the 5GHz band of wireless frequencies. So why don’t they call it an H3 chip if it’s different? I’m not sure, but all I know is that Apple figured out a way to get even more money from me. It’s fine, since I’ll give my other 2 pairs of AirPods Pro to my children. Other than the USB-C port on the charging case and the lossless audio support with the Vision Pro, I can’t tell any difference between the sound quality between these and my previous pair. These are still the best wireless earphones I have ever used, so I don’t have any complaints. The noise cancellation is amazing. I’m not really sure what Apple could do to make these better, unless they can figure out a way to increase the battery life without making them larger. The AirPods Pro go on sale frequently, so if you’re an Apple fan and you don’t already own a pair of these (Whether or not you own a Vision Pro), I recommend grabbing them the next time they are on sale.

items 4: content: The Apple Airpods Pro 2 are my first set of Apple headphones. The sound quality is excellent. I was surprised by the clarity for a set of earbuds. The connectivity with my iPhone was incredibly easy. The feature set is great. Transparency mode works well to minimize loud background sounds while allowing you to clearly hear your environment. I was impressed by the upgraded active noise cancelling. It worked well right out of the box with no adjustment to the silicone tips. I haven't yet used them on a call, so I can't speak to how my voice comes through on the other end. Conversation awareness is another great feature that automatically lowers the volume of what you are listening to if you begin conversing with someone. Once you finish, it raises the volume back to the prior level. Of course, there is a slight delay, particularly if the conversation is started by the other person, but it is a great feature overall. The only real challenge I have noticed so far is the size of the Airpods. They are quite compact with a very short stem. This will require some getting used to since the touch controls reside on the stems. Of course, you can use Siri to work around using the touch controls if you prefer. The additional ability to answer or not answer calls by nodding or shaking your head is a really nice feature if you are in a situation when you don't want to speak out loud. My only complaints are they can be a little difficult to take out of the magsafe case, particularly if you have big fingers. Additionally, the battery life could be longer, especially when using active noise cancelling. While the 6 hour life with ANC on is good, it would be great if you could get 9 hours to cover an entire work day without needing to put them back in the charging case. All in all, the Apple Airpods Pro 2 is a great product that I would highly recommend. Being able to grab them while they were on sale at Best Buy was just the icing on the cake.

title: Upgraded active noise cancelling, great sound quality.

items 5: content: I was skeptical about upgrading from the first-gen AirPods Pro, but the second generation completely blew me away. The sound is noticeably fuller—there’s a depth to the bass that wasn’t there before, and subtle details in songs I’ve heard a hundred times are suddenly clear. I listen to a lot of ambient and classical music while working, and the clarity makes a huge difference.
The noise cancellation is in a different league now. I used them on a 4-hour flight recently, and it cut the engine hum almost entirely—no more cranking the volume just to hear my audiobooks. I also really appreciate the Adaptive Transparency mode. I was walking through downtown and could still hear a bike bell or someone calling out without taking the earbuds out.
The little things are what seal it for me. The case now has a speaker, which saved me the other day when I misplaced it in my car. The volume swipe on the stem seems minor, but it’s such a welcome change—no more fumbling for my phone just to lower the volume a notch.
If you’re already using Apple products, the way these sync across my iPhone, iPad, and MacBook is effortless. They’ve become something I use every single day without thinking. Easily worth the upgrade.

items 6: content: The AirPods Pro 2 are definitely an upgrade from the first version. The noise cancellation is super nice—blocking out more background noise than any other in ear headphones I used, which is nice when you're out and about. The transparency mode also feels more natural, so you can hear what's going on around you without taking them out. I definitely understand why everyone has airpods in their ears when talking to people
The sound quality is pretty solid too, with better bass and clearer highs. For most music, they sound great, but if you're really into high-end audio, they might not blow you away. The spatial audio is fun to mess around with, especially for movies, but it’s not something I use all the time.
Comfort-wise, they still fit well, and with the different tip sizes, you can find something that works. It makes all the difference, especially in being secure. I had to test a few sizes in the gym to find which one stays in the longest.
One thing that can be annoying is the touch controls for volume—they work, but they can be kind of picky about how you swipe, especially when you’re on the move.
All in all, the AirPods Pro 2 are a solid choice, especially if you’re already using other Apple stuff. But if you’re happy with your current earbuds, it’s not like these are a must-buy or anything.

items 7: content: Just purchased the airpods pro 2 for $80 off. After using them out of the house and in, the anc is great. The noise cancelling isn’t in an elite class like over ear headphones for $300-$400, but they’re still impressive, making everything significantly quieter. Transparency mode is also top tier. It can sound slightly artificial, but you can hear so crystal clear theough them that if they’re sitting comfortably in your ears, you might forget they’re there. Only complaint I have is that the sound quality is good as opposed to great. I use over ear anc headphones that are EQ’d and previously used earbuds that excelled in sound but falled short to the airpods in evey other category. I mainly use these when I’m not at home, when I need something extra portable and convenient that isn’t gonna give me social anxiety using or carrying them around in public. And in that aspect, it’s grade A. I still don’t think I’ve seen wireless earbuds with a case as small and ergonomic as airpod pros. And a lot of people use them, so you won’t attract much attention wearing them. At $170, I’m satisfied. Shame I only found out later that the third generation is coming out later this year.

I recently purchased the AirPods Pro 2 online, and I couldn’t be happier with my decision. The sound quality is absolutely fantastic, with rich bass and crystal-clear audio that elevates my music and podcast experience. The noise cancellation feature works like a charm, effectively blocking out background noise, even in busy environments.
The fit is incredibly comfortable, thanks to the customizable ear tips, and they stay securely in place during workouts or long walks. I also appreciate the Transparency Mode, which seamlessly lets me stay aware of my surroundings when needed.
Battery life is impressive, lasting several hours on a single charge, and the MagSafe charging case is compact and convenient. Pairing with my devices was effortless, and the integration with Apple’s ecosystem is as smooth as expected.
Overall, the AirPods Pro 2 are a perfect blend of style, comfort, and performance. They are worth every penny and have quickly become an essential part of my daily routine. Highly recommended!

items 9: content: The Apple AirPods Pro 2 are seriously impressive. The noise cancellation is next-level — it blocks out everything from traffic to background chatter, letting me completely focus whether I’m working, commuting, or just unwinding. It’s honestly hard to believe how much sound they eliminate until you try them.
What really sets them apart, though, is how effortlessly they sync with my MacBook, iPhone, and iPad. Switching between devices is completely seamless — no fiddling with Bluetooth settings, no lag. I can go from a Zoom call on my MacBook to taking a call on my iPhone in seconds.
The sound quality is rich and dynamic, with deep bass and crystal-clear mids, and the adaptive Transparency Mode feels so natural, it’s like not wearing earbuds at all. Add in the improved fit, long battery life, and charging case with Find My, and these are easily the best earbuds I’ve ever owned.
If you’re in the Apple ecosystem, the AirPods Pro 2 are a no-brainer. They’re worth every penny.

items 10: content: Like my Apple Watch Series 10, I am thrilled with this purchase! I couldn't be without my watch and AirPods now. I've only ever owned off-brand earbuds and was nervous about spending so much on these, but it was worth it. My favorite feature is the noise cancellation feature. When I do yard work (especially mowing), I love using this feature. It protects my ears and allows me to hear my audiobooks perfectly. One of the few things I would say could be a negative is that they are slippery. If you are sweating (working out, outside on a hot day, etc.), then I would recommend getting a silicone sleeve to help them stay in your ears better. I got a set on Amazon for under $10, and they make the earbuds stay in perfectly under any situation. Also, the battery life isn't the greatest. I have to wear one AirPod at a time (except when I wear both mowing), because they don't last more than 6 hours or so at a time, and I have to keep switching them out. My previous earbuds would last for days between charges.
The AirPods are loaded with features, and even though I haven't used the "Hearing Aid" feature many times, the few times I have, it was very helpful!

items 11: content: I really love these AirPods and I wish they could be my daily driver. The sound quality is very good and the noise cancellation works almost like magic. I have tested these on a bus and at the gym and it does an outstanding job cancelling both constant and variable noises. It also has some great extra features like Find My integration on the earbuds and case, water / sweat resistance, wireless charging, and others.
The only issue seems to be keeping the earphones from loosening in the ear canal. The earbuds fit firmly in my ear and I have no issue with the feel of the silicon. However as soon as I yawn or do any other mouth movement that causes my ear canals to tense, the silicon slips. It doesn't cause the earbuds to fall out in all cases, but it does let outside noise bleed in. So I frequently need to push the earpods in, which wasn't an issue I had with the plastic AirPods.
Because of this issue, I am likely going to return these AirPods and try out the 4th Gen Airpods with noise cancellation. The Airpods Pro 2nd Gen offer really impressive tech and features, but the issues with fit make these a bit of a hassle for me.

items 12: content: I bought these because of the new hearing test and hearing aid feature. The test told me I don’t have hearing loss so I don’t plan on using the boosted hearing modes, though. I always assumed people bought AirPods Pro because they were made by Apple, however, after owning them, I feel they are one of the top earbuds on the market if you own an iPhone. They have incredible sound and great features. ANC is top-of-the-line and does a great job shutting out outside noise. Adaptive Audio and Conversation Awareness are great features. With adaptive audio you can hear other sounds almost as well as if you didn’t have them in. The case is tiny and I can carry it in my pocket. Head tracking is great for watching movies, it sounds like it is coming directly out of my iPad. However, they do have two issues. First, you have to hope they stay in your ears. I finally bought memory foam tips because they otherwise just fall out. They also have a big problem with wind noise and are almost unusable if it is blowing hard enough. I tried all of the modes, none help and some settings are worse than others.

items 13: content: I recently bought the AirPods Pro and figured I would wait and then review. I never really thought about buying more cause i originally owned the 1st generation pods and figured “if can’t be much different”. I WAS WRONG. These pods are like heaven, so much to the point where my mother (who doesn’t support Apple and thinks they’re over priced) said she had to get her a pair and was overjoyed when I let her borrow them. She was able to do a conference call on public transportation due to the noise cancellation feature. She even talked about how she loves that they turn down when you start speaking automatically. She said her last pair really frustrated her cause she had to take them out constantly to speak and because they wouldn’t fit but not these. They come with different ear pieces so they can fit your ear specifically. I don’t wanna talk your head off ! lol but these are worth investing they’re super loud too. Last but not least a safety feature I really like was when I was able to turn noise canceling off so I could still hear my background when I would be alone or on public transportation. (I also haven’t charged my AirPods in about a week and a half, I’m using them right now they’re no where near dead.)

items 14: content: I procrastinated for over a year on buying these, reading every review possible, and then finally deciding after being given some JL vouchers.
Honestly they surpassed my expectations - the sound is exceptional and a huge upgrade from my previous basic AirPods. The noise cancellation is about 85%, and I personally love the options to have the NC filters on so I can hear around me when walking. The automatic volume adjustment is very clever when environmental noise increases/decreases. Touch controls are a little fiddly, but easy once used to.
Only things is the fit is...average - even with the different sized ear pieces it's hard to get a fully secure fit. It's fine around the house and sitting / listening but I wouldn't want to run with them - I suspect I'd lose one pretty quickly. That said I'm glad I got them - every other function adds to their quality over what the ear security detracts. A worthwhile purchase, and one I'm sad I waited so long for. Hoping they last as long as my last AirPods to get the value for money!

items 15: content: I never wanted ear buds before because I didn’t want to be sonically isolated from my immediate surroundings. This product absolutely resolves that concern by optionally reacting to ambient sounds and passing them through, reducing the source (music, etc) volume automatically. Now, if someone asks me a question while I’m listening to my phone, I can choose to answer or I can pretend not to hear them - my choice.
Seriously, the sound quality of these earbuds is excellent. Using them with noise-canceling engaged provides an excellent listening experience. Great highs, bass and everything in between.
As an unexpected bonus, the hearing aid function really helps overcome some mild hearing loss I didn’t even realize I had. I sometimes didn’t quite catch dialogue from the TV, but these buds add the clarity I used to miss.
Overall, I am extremely happy with the quality and functionality of these earbuds and I highly recommend them.

items 16: content: I had been using the non-pro gen 2 Apple Airpods to listen to music and a TV, and thought the sound quality was very good. I then tried using them to listen to music during my treadmill workouts. The sound generated by the treadmill and my feet impacting the treadmill surface was loud enough to ruin the listening experience. I thought I’d give the Airpods Pro gen 2 a shot, since it has active noise cancellation (ANC). I was shocked by how well they attenuated the background noise. The ANC is so good that I cannot hear any hint of background noise while music is playing, and can just barely hear the background noise during the silence between songs. I also noticed that they can get significantly louder than the non-pro Airpods.
I subtracted one star because I am unable to get the silicone ear tips to fit securely in my ears, despite having tried all of the different sizes included with the Airpods. I have to push the Airpods back into my ears every few minutes. That’s not a deal-breaker, but it is annoying.

items 17: content: On my way to work by bus, headphones always accompany me. I used to use the excellent Jabra 85T but after a few years they ended their life. As an Apple user for years (probably a good 20), I decided to buy the Airpods Pro 2, which are quite widely known both in the media and on forums. Seamless communication with my Apple devices, charging via magsafe, which is the most popular way at the moment, and the quality of the sound won out. Despite this, it has a few ‘buts’ in relation to their design and operation:
Annoying volume change despite settings,
Difficult to operate with thick gloves - next song, stop, switching between ANC and Transparency - this was easier on the Jabra.
Other than that, I think the headphones are great and the constant updates expand their capabilities. ANC definitely beats Jabra. I would heartily recommend these headphones to others who are interested, but be warned that it takes some getting used to and changing habits from other systems. I have no reservations about battery life and would consider this to be standard. I would definitely recommend them.

items 18: content: I loved ‘em, “loved”! The features on these earbuds are next level, their quality is top notch. I really had high hopes for these, I would have given 5 stars if it weren’t for the fit.
Sound quality: just right(wouldbe better w/ eq options)
ANC: excellent
Transparency: excellent
Conversation awareness/Adaptive audio: ok(sometimes this mode would muffle or drown out all other sounds when speaking to loud or yelling)
Other than that my main gripe was the fit. I kept having to readjust them while at work, hence the yelling and speaking loudly. I’m a trade show specialist. My work requires a lot of physical activity, bending, squatting, carpet kicking, lifting… and a lot of walking! The earbuds start off fine while I’m dry, once I start sweating is when they start popping out. I’ve tried switching the tips and different positions in my ears, nothing works other than taking them off drying my ears and resetting them. Jabra elite 8 active gen 2 have it down, if apple could make something like that with all the AirPod pro 2 features… Their’d be no competition.

items 19: content: Great earbuds and sound quality! The noise cancellation is incredibly good (this is my first pair of earbuds with ANC) and transparency mode is just as good. They don’t block off 100% of noise but they do a darn good job at it.
I’m no audiophile, but I love the sound quality… although I set my earbuds on bass boost all the time haha. I use them for music for several hours a day and for TV shows - no complaints.
My biggest complaint is with the soft tip earbuds - although this varies by ear shape. Personally they feel like they’re constantly coming loose. Out of multiple soft tip earbuds, these have been the best in terms of staying on (they haven’t fallen off at all yet… I’ve taking them to the gym and jogging), but I still feel the need to push them in frequently. I’ve tried every size and they all fit well (except XS) but they all feel like they’re coming off anyway, even though they do a good job at staying on my ears. I prefer the original AirPods and EarPods design for this reason.
Other than that, I absolutely love these! The pros absolutely outweigh the con(s) haha

Loading the audiogram is super easy. There is also a feature for doing a hearing test to set the hearing aids. While this makes them more accessible, it overrides the audiogram from the professional hearing test. It allows the user to play with the test over an over changing the setting. items 21: content: The AirPod Pro 2s are overall very nice, and the controls available make it very flexible for multiple purposes, including as a hearing aid for some people.
Do note that they pick up a lot of wind noise when you are outside, and there’s no filter to remove it in transparency or adaptive modes. There really should be.
If you buy an open box set, as I did, beware: the medium tips that should be pre- installed on the earbuds were missing. When I went to my local Best Buy to get those missing tips, they discovered the same issue with their other open-box versions. It seems as if these tips are being removed during the process to resell them. And of course Best Buy doesn’t carry these tips and so can’t address the issue. Because exchanging my set for another open box would have the same result, I just went elsewhere to buy the missing tips. It was still less expensive than getting a brand-new set, but that may not be true in your case based on the open box price,

items 22: content: Sound is good quality, not the best I’ve heard, but its not bad at all. I bought these as replacement for my Bose Quietcomfort that died on me 3 weeks ago, I honestly thought I would miss them a lot, but the latest firmware makes the Airpods more versatile by adding touch volume control and NC control too.
I like the 3D image these earphones create, it has blown my mind even in the “non-pro” version that I got at a work raffle, They deliver rich bass without being overwhelming.
Downside is max vol, I don’t typically listen at max volumes but we all have that song you must listen at the highest level, that’s where these fall short; I guess NC (noise cancellation) is part of the issue, which is definitely subpar to Bose’s.
One thing I love is the seamless switch from iPhone to iPad to Macbook, it’s just super convenient. What I miss is the multipoint, which is useful so I can hear my music in my personal phone and be able to answer business calls.
All in all, I recommend them if you get them at a good prices as I did, $249 USD is a little on the expensive side.

items 23: content: I've had the AirPods Pro 2 for quite a while now and they are super convenient as an iPhone and iPad owner. You can easily switch between both devices instantly. That to me is their stand out feature. The noise cancelling is great too, managing to block out noises effectively. I use these to sleep in too to block out any unwanted noise. Perhaps could be a little more effective when travelling on a plane, but I'm comparing this to over ear cans so maybe a little unfair. I feel a bit underwhelmed by the sound, there is nothing bad about them, they're very clear but just lack the punch I like from deeper bass. I have also found the case can easy scratch and has become full of swirl marks like a car going through a car wash. Finally, sometimes I have found the right earbud hasn't charged, not sure why. Overall, fairly happy especially with the connection ease, I just wish the sound was a little more exciting!

items 24: content: These AirPods Pro 2 are an incredible buy, great battery life and amazing noise cancellation! This is my second pair of these, I accidentally left my first pair in my pants pocket and they went through the washing machine and I didn’t find them until I placed my clothes in the dryer. I thought they were ruined so I went to BestBuy and bought a replacement pair. I placed the AirPods and the case inside a ziplock bag with two moisture packets (used for canning dried goods) and laid them on my dresser for 24 hours. I took them out of the bag and charged them back up and found out that they are still working perfectly! The only issue that happened to them from washing them in my laundry is that they won’t charge if I plug in the type C charger. They do charge with the MagSafe charger, so they are still being used daily. I gave them to my daughter because I don’t need two pairs of them…. Apple AirPods Pro 2 earbuds are absolutely the best earbuds in existence!

items 25: content: The Airpods Pro 2 are incredible wireless earbuds that offer excellent noise cancellation, high-quality sound and a comfortable fit. They completely block out distractions, making them ideal for use in noisy environments,
The main reason I bought the AirPods is my love for music. A great sound quality is essential for having the best experience, and this product has exceeded my expectations. I’ve tried other earbuds before, and these are far better. Furthermore, the localization feature will definitely help you if you ever lose them.
However, my only criticism is that the battery life is too short, it only lasts about 5-6 hours. Even so, they are fast-charging and it will make the problem less significant.
To sum up, despite the battery life they’re worth every penny. I highly recommend this product, especially for music fans, I am sure you are going to love them!

items 26: content: Apple never disappoints! These are an awesome product overall, and if you use multiple products within the Apple ecosystem then you will be highly satisfied! I have yet to use a product that comes close to what these offer. The sound quality is superb. The ability to seamlessly swap between devices depending on what is playing or what you are doing is amazing. The noise cancellation and transparency cannot be touched. Using Siri voice commands adds an extra level of convenience that other products cannot offer. The battery life and form factor are top notch. If you are coming from Gen 1, the upgrades to Find My, make keeping up with these a breeze. You can even play a sound using your phone in order to locate them if you do not want to open Find My and go through all of that. The touch controls and gestures work without issue. They are some of the most lightweight and comfortable earbuds that I have used as well.
All in all, you will not be disappointed if you decide to pick these up!

items 27: content: Excellent product with better noise cancelling than my best headset. It works very well and I have bought one set for me and they were so good I bought another for my wife.
However nothing is perfect therefore looking at the negative points the price is very high and I think this is another case of Apple overcharging. Also I spend a lot of time on aircraft and when traveling in the passenger area I often sit next to my wife. If she is also using her airpods sometimes the noise cancelling switches off if the other person changes settings or music tracks. This may be due to my error in setting the two systems up under the same wifi unit therefore accidentally linking the two airpods.
overall very happy and impressed with this top of the range product. If you intend to buy make sure you buy the correct item for your needs as similar lower price apple airpods may disappoint. Also buy from major apple outlet as lots of fake items exist that look to be a bargain but are rubbish.

items 28: content: I had a moment on a plane back home the other day where I thought back to junior high school in 2008, where the absolute pinnacle of listening for me was a pair of wired skull candy earbuds that were probably no more than $30. Now, if I could go back and hand these to my kid self, I’d be blown away.
After using the airpod pro 1s for maybe about 3 years or so, I had decided to try the second gen, as people had been touting the more powerful audio processor for noise cancellation offered a much better experience, and I gotta say, they’re not wrong. It is not perfect, by any stretch, but for the sheer convenience and form factor of airpods, the fact that that level of noise cancellation at all is seriously impressive.
Aside from that though, there’s the new added touch features on the stem, like swiping up and down to raise and lower the volume, a feature I figured I would never use, but have come to find that I actually walk away from my phone and need to lower audio much more frequently than I thought, especially when using the new adaptive transparency mode.
I think this is probably the biggest feature for me, the regular transparency mode on the originals (still available on the pro 2’s) was fantastic, but the adaptive mode actively attenuates loud noises around you while attempting to boost things you might wanna be hearing, like a direct conversation. The tech for this isn’t all the way there; the speed at which the noise cancellation kicks in is noticeably slower than you’d like it to be, but maybe the next gen of the pros, especially with Apples new AI tech, we’ll start to see a real breakthrough in the adaptive audio. Despite this, I find myself walking around in adaptive mode pretty constantly in my day to day life.
Ultimately, we’re pretty close to the point where , I’d imagine, a 3rd gen of the pros will be released, so I’d wait for now to see if the feature set for those is worth splurging on the New Product Pricing for, otherwise, if it bumps the price down on these even more, you might not even need anything else.

items 29: content: I purchased Open Box in Good Condition. Cable was still factory wrapped. It was basically indistinguishable from a new product. I believe 1 pair of silicone rubber ear cushions were missing, but a worthwhile tradeoff for only paying $119.
The good:
-Integrates well with Apple ecosystem. Automatically switches between my iPhone and Macbook Air and iPad.
-Active Noise Cancellation is great for white noise (HVAC fan noise, for example. Have not tested on plane yet)
-Touch controls work really well, and really trick you into thinking you are operating clicky tactile controls.
The bad:
-The case maintains an active bluetooth connection to my iPhone, even when the buds are inside charging. I guess it does this to communicate battery level. The problem is this causes bluetooth interference (stuttering) when I try to listen to music in my car. It's maddening. I tried putting the case inside a metal box, as a faraday cage. Didn't work. Maybe the problem is my car is a 2010 with an old version of bluetooth. So now I am forced to connect to my car with a cable to listen to music/podcasts when I have my AirPods with me.

items 30: content: I picked these up mainly for their mic noise cancellation- to use in a (noisy) sports car on calls. They work great for that- much better than the Beats Fits I was using.
The ANC is also very good- with lots of noise cancelling features from Apple on the iPhone (adaptive ANC, transparent mode, hearing protection). These are all great features.
The sound quality is pretty good. Clear mids and highs, with good spatial separation, but the lows are underwhelming (I listen to rock, metal, jazz, pop). I ended up using the mediocre EQ in the Music app to boost the bass- this really helped the overall sound balance. Without that I probably would have returned them for a different brand.
The fit is pretty good. They stay in the ears ok- I'm used to in-ear monitors as a musician that stay put. I may go thru the tips again to make sure I selected the right size, but on walks they tend to work their way out and lose bass response.
