snippets: normally when we think of the word sharp it brings pain and discomfort however in the case of Dell's Ultra sharp it brings joy to my heart why you might ask well it has the perfect mix of crystal clear image quality combined with some fantastic color reproduction as a result I think the ultra sharp is a pretty darn good monitor but after owning it for about 11 months I have a far more conclusive review for you guys to tell you what this monitor got right who it might be for and some things to watch out for as well, so the model we have here specifically is the 32 inch variant of the current gen Ultra sharp Series so this is the u223 QE series it's a mouthful with that said this monitor also comes in a 43 and 27 inch variant respectively but for all intents and purposes they share more or less the exact same list of features so you can use as a platform for either of those models as well, so it does come with a 3840 by 20 2160 resolution or 4K if you will a 16x9 aspect ratio you also have a base refresh rate of just 60 hertz though it does come with a high quality IPS panel with a black technology built in Additionally you do have a two thousand to one contrast ratio that's also worth noting you have a peak brightness of 400 nits with this display with anti-glare technology built in and past that in the color Department you have a 100 srgb rating a 100 Rec 709 rating and an impressive 98 DCI P3 rating you also have a Delta e rating of less than two so this is a very color sensitive and color accurate monitor over here

The 120Hz means absolutely nothing as the other specs are so lacklustre. I have a 60Hz TN monitor which is less smeary and therefore appears “faster” than this 120Hz DELL in every way. Do not use it for any kind of action gaming. Panel quality is a lottery, and the colour temperature is somewhat inconsistent across its length., Plus points are it’s phenomenally easy on the eye, I have no eye strain at all after a whole day of work. No coil whine on mine.

The extent to which it even interferes with sleep at low intensity is for debate., I wish they made this monitor without blue filtering and left it to the user to reduce blue with software or wear blue blocking glasses if one insists on it.
