Loved the stop watch feature which I regularly use to time my teeth brushing. The alarm is also great as a secondary wake up if your phone dies. The date & alarm setting can be complex the first use but it becomes routine within a week. 100% recommend as a beater watch or a first watch. One thing that could be improved is the backlight but I'm aware there are other models that do that for a higher price. This watch cannot be beaten on price to features.

items 11: content: The Casio F-91W is a useful and inexpensive watch that deserves all the positive reviews it receives. I'm not going to cover all the details that others already have, but the two things I'm especially keen on are accuracy and water resistance. When I received it I set it to the exact time with a GPS-related app on my phone. Ten days later, the watch is still spot on. The specifications claim a rather self-deprecating +/- 30 sec/month. As others have discovered, the watch has a reasonable water resistance. I haven't tried swimming with it but I wear it in the shower, no problems. It's always advisable not to press any buttons when in water, of course. So although it was never intended as a watch for use in water, it's good enough for general exposure. About the only thing I'm not thrilled about is its tiny size, but for me, that's not a deal breaker. My wrists are not especially large. Happy to own this iconic piece of horological history.

This item replaces an identical Casio F91-W I bought 15 years ago, Of the old F91-W, I replaced the battery only twice in 15 years. I chose the same model again because the old watch has served me well, keeping good time. The old F91-W casing was robust, suffering only minor damage - a cracked and scratched screen. The only weakness I found was the strap, which split at the spring bars after some years' use. I replaced it with a NATO strap. This model now has 'cult' status - just google to discover its accidental appearances in the movies and other interesting facts.
