items 3: content: Given that each runner’s stride is unique, I need to offer some context about my own before reviewing these shoes. I have struggled with weak Achilles tendons for many of my running years. Additionally, I have high arches, especially in one of my feet. Hence, I have always looked for shoes that offer the rare mix of great stability and high cushioning. I had stayed away of the Vomero because, even if the cushioning seemed great, they were not as stable as I would have wanted them to be.
Now, with the Vomero Plus, I have finally given this line a chance, and I should say that they did not disappoint. They truly deliver the cushioning they advertise, and then some. It really does feel like running on a very soft surface. With that that said, as a runner that looks for stability, how did these shoes feel? Well, they were not great, but definitely not bad either. For all the cushioning they provide, the stability is decent, and the sole is also very responsive. Even with my weak ankles, I did not feel these shoes wobbly or slow. Do not get me wrong, I would not categorize them as stability shoes, but at least they do not seem to sacrifice too much stability to offer all that cushioning.
In conclusion, if stability is not a concern for you, and you are looking for a cushioned shoe, then look no further. I loved how soft the Vomero Plus felt. In addition, they are responsive enough to make you feel faster than when running on other cushioned shoes. If you want cushioning and stability, I would still favor another model, but I would argue you can still add these to your shoe rotation. With my Achilles tendon issues, I would not run my longer runs on these, but I would definitely use them for my midweek recovery runs.

items 4: content: The shoes are great! The cushioning and comfort is next level, just the right amount of padding on the ankle and tongue, and the breathability is nice.
The design of the shoe is great the hints of the Nike swoosh under the toe box see through layers is really cool.
The stack of the Cushing on the side goes higher than the foot bed so does give some lateral stability.
Reflective hints throughout from the front Nike logo on the toe box, small lines throughout, and a reflective rear pull tab.
The orange color way is nice especially for early or late night runs.
I have wide feet and the shoes fit perfectly.
I’ve been using them as casual shoes and they are great but even when running the responsiveness is great. You can feel the zoom cushioning push you forward.

items 5: content: Got the Orange Pulse a little early. Have a couple of runs in. Lacing is fine, but the configuration seems a little narrow for the size of the upper. Floating tongue, but doesn’t move around as badly as the Peg Premium. Overall though, this is what I wanted the 18 to feel like. Noticeably lighter than the 18, with a LOT more bounce. These feel more natural to run in, and the ride isn’t as dead/muted as the 18 feels (to me, at least). I realize rocker shapes/foams/etc don’t feel the same for everyone…but I would say if you’re deciding btw the 18 and the Plus, spend the extra $25 and get the Plus.
