A little goes a long way with this product, its extremely pigmented and has great undertones on my olive skin. I've used Encourage, Virtue, Worth, Truth and Beloved and all the shades work really well on me year round. Its got a matte finish and is long lasting. This product has a learning curve re the amount / brushes to use in order to blend it out without being overly pigmented, but once I worked out I only need one dot for both cheeks, and it's more user friendly to dot the back of my hand and dip my brush rather than applying directly to my cheek, it really is my go to blush.

I also partly bought this because I had seen it on social media and I thought that the packaging was very cute and I wasn’t disappointed. The normal size of this product has quite a big applicator on it which is good if you are going to use a lot of blush but this blush is so pigmented that I prefer to use the mini size so I don’t apply too much blush. It’s also quite buildable formula so it looks nice with powder blush on top of it. I think I would repurchase this because you can do a natural look or if you add more you can make it a really fun and glamorous look but i think that it looks good either way. I bought it a few months ago and it’s lasted for ages so it’s quite good value as well. It looks really good accompanying the rare beauty highlighter.

I first tried this formula with an old sephora favorites kit which included “joy”- it’s a neon orangey-peach in the bottle but blended out is a nice wash of a bright orange. As someone who is very fair, bright fun colors can be difficult to use if they are med.-full color payoff (which these are) and if they stain or don’t blend easily (these blend great). I’ve had that mini for 2+years and I still haven’t made a dent into it & wear it all the time. I then got “hope” in another kit & again it was amazing. Just bought “grateful” & “happy” d I’ve already worn them both multiple times and they work just as good as my other two.
So why mini? Well as someone who collects makeup I have a lot of blushes. I’d rather have minis of multiple colors than one large one.
Are these minis bang for your buck? Maybe or maybe not. They are for me because I would never finish a large one after using a mini at least 3-4x a week for 2+years. I use only 1-2 dots between both cheeks. Half a dot for each side for a lighter flush vs. a full dot on either side for more color.
Would I buy the minis if these were the only option/ I had no others? Absolutely, the formula blends beautifully with your fingers making it quick and gives a precise flawless airbrushed finish. The full size is $23 and the minis are $14 a piece so 2 minis for $28 gets me more colors for $5 more. Add on a sale and the discrepancy between the product amount vs. cost doesn’t bother me even more.
The best rare blushes for me (that I’ve tried thoroughly) are “joy”, “hope”, “happy”, & “grateful.”

It's very pigmented - I apply just one drop on each side with the doe foot applicator, and blend out with the 'Soft pinch blush brush'. I did try to apply with fingertips as the directions state, but found it took too long, and time is of the essence with these as they dry pretty fast!
It's easy to blend as the texture is quite creamy, and it stays put for the entire day, until removed. Hope is also the shade which I find works best on no makeup days, when I need just a hint of color, as it looks very natural. The larger (0.25 oz - 7.5ml) size does give you more bang for your buck it's true, but the 0.11 oz - 3.2ml mini size is an affordable way to give the blush a try and see if it's right for you, plus it's a decent size for those who rarely use blush and don't need much of it. I just wish there were more shades available in this size so I could try them all!

I initially got two small sample sizes from a store opening goodie bag last year, and didn’t like either product but once I got the hang of how to correctly apply each and blend them (I found you have to treat each a bit differently) I’ve found that I love this product and can simply swipe it straight onto the skin and blends out quickly and very effortlessly. I’m a blush fanatic, and tend to pick my blush colour depending on my mood or outfit so being able to have these liquid blushes and has made a lot of choice that much easier.
I have quite fair skin and find myself able to use the darker and brighter shades and even prefer them most days and I don’t have to do the typical small dot of product you see beauty gurus on social media do as I do like to have a noticeable payoff of colour and I’m able to do that with these blushes without looking like a clown. Giving a gorgeous flush to my skin that with the dark shades also helps give the illusion of contour without using contour!
I have three shades of the mini blush now, and can easily see myself having the full collection by the end of the year.

I pair it with the liquid illuminzer I also have from rare beauty and the effect is a beautiful pinky glow. Plus, going in to summer my sweat will provide plenty of glow!! 4 stars because sometimes it disrupts my base makeup, but I reckon that's probably down to my poor techniques, rather than the tools I'm using.

I first tried the blush by putting only 3 dots on my cheeks because I heard a little goes a very long way, and that was WAY too much! Those three little dots could have been used for both cheeks and my nose! So after using this quite a few times, I’ve found that I barely need to use 2 dots on each cheek and then use the excess for my nose.
The blush blends beautifully, dries nicely and not too quickly, although sometimes I do need to set it with a powder blush when it’s hot outside or if I’m applying makeup needed to wear for the entire day. It glides on nicely over my foundation and never looks patchy or cakey. As someone who has the most oily and sensitive skin with Acne, this didn’t break me out or look oily during the day.
I like it so much that I bought the full size in the shade Hope, after receiving the sample size in the shade Joy.
Both are beautiful shades but I feel Joy is best suited to me when I haven’t tanned as it’s quite bright and I love those for when I’m pale. Hope is the perfect pink-mauve shade for any skin tone and I’m excited to use it.
If you’re on the fence, try the smaller sizes to see how you like the formula. I think it’s beautiful and I see why people rave about it.
The smaller size of 3.5ml is going to last me FOREVER as I now only use 2 dots on each cheeks after realising you hardly need any!
Only reason for 4 stars if because I wish it dried down matte just due to my skin type, but it’s a stunning product and I will continue to buy more!

I would say I prefer hope because it blends flawlessly into my makeup for a natural look so I would recommend one of the dewy shades. Alternatively, I have previously added highlighter to the matte one for a more glowy finish.

It was an impulse buy having used the now discontinued Rimmel Soft Blush in ‘Pink Rose’ for over 25 years! The ‘Happy’ shade looked a good choice for my colour preference and having tired the new Rimmel powdered blush, I wasn’t happy with the flat, matt finish that my old Rimmel favourite never had.
Price wise, this is much more to pay but you barely need a dot and it blends so well and gives that slight glowy sheen that I wanted.
I had tried cheaper alternatives before taking the plunge with Rare Beauty and as they say, buy cheap, buy twice. The cheaper liquid varieties were more difficult to blend and were also a matt finish, even though they were described as “dewy”.
I’m hoping that I’ll equally love the other 2 shades I’ve now ordered and I’m so glad I took a gamble on this product….this will be my new staple!

In terms of shades, Bliss is foolproof and perfect for those who are intimated by how pigmented this product is. It's impossible to mess up. To be honest, I haven't had any issues with blending Hope or Virtue either. I simply apply one dot on my hand and then pick it up with a brush and I always look naturally flushed. On that note, this product looks amazing when applied by hands, a beauty blender or a liquid brush. I use the Rare Beauty blush brush and the results are heavenly.
Lastly, there is something about this range that brings out so much happiness and joy. I haven't got this enthusiastic about makeup for a long time. This brand is really special. I enjoy the ritual of using this fun blush.

Now I know what your thinking GURL IT SAYS MINI!!! I bought the mini to try a shade. What I didn’t know was that for the price it’s not even half of an original. But good news though- the original is daily wear for me and the full sized lasted a year. Pigment is insane. Love it.
