In the dry winter months here in Japan, I use (in this order): essence, eye cream, serum, moisturizer, the Ceramicidin cream, sunscreen. The Ceramicidin seals in moisture; I also use it after putting lotion on my eczema spots (elbows, knees, back of my hands). I don’t need it at all in summer, so the one tube lasts a long time. I also like CeraVe cream and Eucerin cream for the same purpose, but they feel slightly greasier on my face than does the Ceramicidin. Hope this helps.

Weirdly sometimes for the first few days of using I sometimes get a bit of stinging on the creases of my nose as my skin gets used to it -- I say weirdly because it's a protective product rather than an irritating one.I use this in the evening but that's just because my day cream is cheaper and if I used this twice a day I'd be going broke. It's very moisturising but light enough to wear day and night and all seasons (on my skin anyway).

It didn't trigger me and I didn't have an allergic reaction, but depending on how sensitive your skin is that might be a deal breaker. It also didn't break me out, something I worry about with creams. So why the 4 stars? The scent for one. Also I can get great moisturizers for a lot less than this. And as always, I prefer natural products. But otherwise a nice face cream

I found it a little bit too much for my combo skin throughout the day but my skin absolutely looooves it in the night. I personally use this after my retinol routine and I have never experienced dryness. It's a really think one so, if you are more in the oily side you may not like it. I prefer to use it at night, at least half an hour before going to bed. I give it four stars because it have kind of a strong bergamot smell, I think it's not fragrance because it have bergamot exact, I mean it's not a bad thing, just a personal preference.

detailedReviews 106: content: I received this in my space nk birthday gift, and I’ve really enjoyed it. I have dry skin the winter so I’ve been using this to spot treat dry bits on my face. Even though it’s very hydrating, it sinks in quickly and doesn’t leave too much shine. I haven’t tried using it under my foundation yet though. Overall, if you have dry skin, and want to treat dry patches, this is a great option.

It does not feel anywhere near as moisturising and feels powdery and silicone-y / powdery on my skin. Plus why remove the subtle fragrance that was lovely. The new one smells like plastic. I wish someone had told me before I purchased this rebranded/new ingredients version.

detailedReviews 108: content: It's a great moisturizer if you don't need much for one as it is quite thin in texture. You do have to keep pushing to get the product out. Additionally, for this price, the tube could have been a bit larger so it could justify the price. For my skin preferences, it's not as thick and creamy as I wanted so I would say there are some affordable dupes that do the job much better and more efficiently than this cream. I would give it a hard pass.

I ordered this thinking it was the old formula as it’s the old name and bottle but I received the new Skin Barrier Moisturising Cream. This has very different ingredients so if you have sensitive skin please be careful. space NK were great and refunded me but I wanted to warn others who may think they’re ordering the d product.

detailedReviews 110: content: I really enjoyed using this Dr. Jart Cream. When I've used it, it's very hydrating and leaves skin feeling soft and supple. I like that it doesn't have a strong smell at all and it works especially well for me when my skin is dehydrated from sun or in the winter. I just wish it absorbed a little more than it does. I'm used to creams that aren't quite as rich as this but when my skin needs a little more hydration this is great.
