My new phone has "halo" ring-shaped circular discoloration around the lens, outside of the camera's rim. This seems to be a minor cosmetic defect, but this is super frustrating after already having had a prior issue with a phone I had returned. The day before (last Saturday) I accidentally got sold a used "open box" phone, and so the next day on Sunday I returned it and exchanged it for this Midnight new iPhone 14. Between exchanging it, calling my provider for cellular, and transferring my number at the store, I spent over FIVE hours in the store, until it closed. As a busy student, I do not have time to go back to Best Buy and go again thru the drama and ordeal of exchanging my phone again and transferring the number and data, again. After already having had to make an exchange, this new iPhone 14 that I spent a lot of money on should be immaculate! The real kicker is that even if I did want to spend another whole day at Best Buy to exchange this cosmetically defective phone, I would be charged a $45 dollar "restocking fee." This is incredibly frustrating, as again, I already had an issue from Best Buy that caused my prior exchange, and now I'm stuck with a phone with a small cosmetic defect. Again, as a busy student I have no time or energy (or desire) to pay a restocking fee and waste another 5 hours in store to exchange the phone and transfer my phone number and data, and everything that entails. Very frustrated, but I highly doubt Best Buy as a corporation would care. This is a small problem in the grand scheme of life, but it's frustrating in consideration of the amount of time and money I've already spent in store. Maybe I should have bought my phone straight thru the Apple Store, instead of going through Best Buy.

The shipping felt like years. Well, at least for me who's been filled with nerves and anxiety starting from the night I hit the check out button.
Compared to the adapter (w/c I ordered after checking out the phone), the shipping was quite smooth with no mishaps. I tried the expedite option, cuz my nerves really won't calm down and I was afraid my life won't last until my parcel finally arrives. š¤£ The only difference is, the box. As you can see at my collage, there were too many dents and there were even punctures š„¹ Dunno why. But luckily, the phone's intact and working just fine.
I wrote this review a week after using the phone (this way, I can honestly vouch for it since as you can see, the review edit option isn't available for this store).
The phone seems legit. I checked its serial and model number at the apple site and it's convincing. There's also an apple warranty good for 1 year and free 3-month subscription to Apple music & I forgot the other one, so all's good. The phone really heats up fast especially when using apps that use too much battery. Good for me, I mainly use this for photography and streaming music. I use android for heavy apps.
I tried looking for its battery health and cycle count after a few days. It says 103% battery health and 8 cycle counts. So it's really brand new. Dunno how to check further but for me, the item is legit. Quite skeptical because of the start up but I'm not really knowledgeable about this. I don't even know if it can really be a basis for original vs counterfeit phones.
P.S. my dream phone is 15, but this is also a good catch. I got this on a discounted price, so it's really sulit.

For good condition(not fair or poor, good) I would have at least expected it to be clean. There was gunk even around the camera screen and the camera is also damaged. The entire back has a honeycomb pattern burned into it (I have no idea how) and a massive chip right in the front. I paid more than other sellers as I thought this one would be better. I am so disappointed. I will never buy from them again and hope you donāt either. Refurbished means at the very least cleaned. At the very least! And the chip on the front and scratches along the sides are so aggressive I canāt believe someone would honestly resell it. This seller is not worth the risk. I would return it but I canāt afford to go without a phone for work.

detailedReviews 4: content: It was a deal that went down w/o a hitch. As a matter of fact, the phone got here a day earlier than predicted. That doesnāt happen often nowadays. It seems solid, but you don't ever get reviews after you've owned the thing for a year.
Right now, it is an improvement over my old phone, but that was an iPhone 8 mini, so I'm not sure that's exactly a slam dunk as recommendations go. The phone got here early, it's exactly as advertised. It had minimal packaging, so I liked that.
This is the first time buying an iPhone from Walmart, and the deal went well, so no complaints. The proof of the pudding will be in how the refurbished plus works out, and only time will tell as to whether I wasted an extra $34 for the "deluxe" refurbish. Keeping my fingers crossed on that one.
I think I'm onto something here though. Ask customers to re-review their purchases after owning the object for a year, and see how many stars it gets. I'd be a lot more interested in that score. Right now all I can say is that it got to me, and it was the model that was advertised. A prety low bar I'd think, but it is what it is I suppose.

I proceeded to tell him that I had spoken to a Best Buy rep on the phone and they told me to take it in to the Geek Squad and they would fix it. Again he looked at me like i was lying to him. It was so annoying and ruse. The Geek Squad person then said that my only choice was to return it or pay $400 to get it fixed. Pay that much to fix something I had JUST purchased! Absolutely ridiculous! Not even the store manager offered to help or even apologize for this.

The only drawbacks are that they did away with Touch ID which I really like on my older iPhone 6 Plus and they did away with a home button. Otherwise easy to operate I operate mine on the new iOS 18. It's easy to use and just as good as the iPhone has always been.

No need no harm done somehow and its a miracle (because google said these phones aren't water tight to be submerged in water only waterproof from
Splatter or rain etc) I turned it off, let it dry on a towel etc and works absolutely fine - no issues at all. - that was a month ago so hopefully all is okay šš«£š

1. I don't know why Apple felt the need to make their phones bigger as standard. If people want a big screen they can carry an ipad around with them!
2. It's annoying they have also stopped making the "mini" versions - these now cost a fortune to buy as a refurb and you can hardly find them as they are in such demand.
3. Also don't like the fact the newer version of the iphone is so much heavier. The glass construction of the newer versions much heavier than the old metal. The glass back shattered when my daughter dropped her new iphone (though Apple try to pretend it shouldn't). While I am obviously aware this is necessary for the "mag safe" charging, I'm sure most people don't actually use this and just use the cable instead. I certainly do and appreciate a lighter weight phone.
I have a feeling that I have now purchased my last iphone as the mini is obsolete and I won't be accepting the increased iphone size when I buy next time.

JL technicians offered a new phone (and Ā£30 to set it up!) but as my data had already transferred that wasn't helpful. They refused to sell me one as I didn't have a passport or driving licence with me to prove identity - they wouldn't accept my bus pass with photo! Eventually a techie friend sorted it all out for me without the need for a new SIM card. All a bit of a faf, but I'm pleased with the phone now everything is set up. It's easy to use and a good size for carrying around. Good battery life. Easy set up once we were past 'the glitch'.
For folks like me who don't change phones very often, make sure you verify all your apps before using for shopping, Apple Pay etc.

However, I am a T-Mobile customer and I had a lot of problems getting the "unlocked" phone activated because it did not have an ICCID number. I called T-Mobile and they were initially unable to activate the phone without it. I then called the tech support through the seller/Bestbuy and the only resolution they could offer was a refund (which I appreciated the offer, but I wanted the phone to work). I then began to look on the internet and it turns out this is a common problem among "unlocked" phones (often "jailbroken") and that the carriers can activate them when you get someone with knowledge. I eventually was able to get an advanced tech support with T-Mobile who was able to finally activate the phone. In the future, the seller should note that this could be a problem and proactively offer some solutions for the buyer.

My mother lives in an Assisted Living Facility and her phone number, her nurse's numbers, her Dr's numbers as well as the main number of the facility was removed from my phone as well as some of my Dr's numbers! I needed those numbers more than a software update! I did not want to buy a new phone due to the expense with the current state of affairs with our economy. I found this sassy red one that doubled the memory from my previous phone for significantly less than a new one. So far I am very happy with it. It looks brand new to me, no scratches or dings. There is plenty of memory, it takes great photos, good battery life and a one year warranty. It would have been nice if there had been an option to purchase an additional year warranty. If any issues come up, I will update this review.

She's very happy with larger screen making typing easier and prefers 'swiping' which is easier than the old Home button. Although larger than the SE it easily slips into her bag. Camera takes impressive sharp pics & battery charge lasts well.
It's slightly heavier than the SE but she says it's not an issue.
She found it awkward to press 2 buttons to turn phone off but shutdown can be done by going to Settings/General & scrolling to shutdown - so no problem.
Overall, easy to use and a best buy compared to the iPhone 15.
Excellent online service from JL as usual with the 2 year guarantee & securely packed for next day delivery.
Ps: I found it easy to transfer data from old phone to new by putting them side by side so long as old phone has iOS 15 or later - (tip - switch on Wireless and Bluetooth on old phone and connect both phones to power outlets and just follow the on-screen prompts).
When finished, transfer SIM card to new phone and bingo ! Whole process done in under an hour!

When using a qi charger the phone gets hot to touch. When purchasing the phone don't forget to buy the audio adapter extension so you can continue to use your in ear buds if you don't have airpods or bluetooth headphones. As far as a mobile phone is concerned this has all you need and the only reason I would purchase the more expensive models is for the photo zoom elements, and I have not had any problems yet!

Problem 2 is that when I hold the phone on my shoulder as opposed to with my hand up to my mouth, most people tell me that they cannot hear me.
If you have a habit of holding the phone on your shoulder while typing or multitasking, you should keep this in mind.
