A few years ago I came across a fully functional, great condition PS3 that was the version that is backwards compatible with PS1 only. I had to buy it (It was only $10.00) I own all of the current gen consoles, and let me tell you, I enjoy using the PS3 again much more lately. I was able to download all of the old titles I previously purchased, again, from the PSN store, even the delisted ones (Marvel vs Capcom 2, Simpsons Arcade, etc.). I forgot how many games I had purchased digitally, and it was fun looking through the list and downloading again. I even got my hands on PS move controllers again, so I can play the lightgun games again (House of the dead, Resident evil, etc.). Now I will say, the UI and PSN store are a lot more clunky and slower than what you can get on PS5, and that can be aggravating. Downloading games are also a lot slower on some games, makes you appreciate the PS5's SSD. And the Dualsense 3 is a little small and light, but it does what it needs to do.

The slim version console is smaller durable and fix well in small area would recommend! It came with 2 controllers and they are wireless. It comes with cords u just plug into the game console to charge the controllers. Facing games, building games , and family games are all available with this amazing console. Very easy to install and browse with if needed, practical, reliable, and affordable. It’s a good system to have for the kids as well. The kids love it. They have games for adults and children. You just have to read the back of the games because although some of the games you can just put in and play, some of the games are required to have Wi-Fi in order to play some of them. You can watch blue Ray DVDs and movies on the game console and it’s just like having a CD player or DVD player with your game system. It’s super easy to spray and clean.

detailedReviews 4: content: This device was interesting because of one design, the inclusion of the first Blu-ray player in a modern gaming console. Nowadays that features pretty standard, but I remember that at the time having a gaming console that could also play the top of the line movies in your home was a game changer. Especially when other Blu-ray players were selling for the same price, it made no sense not to choose the PlayStation 3 if you wanted to enjoy both games and movies in your home. I know this was the whole reason that my family purchased one. My dad wasn’t a gamer much at all growing up, but he was so excited to watch HD movies on his PS3 that he later wanted to see how good the games looked on it and started a small collection of games that he would play regularly. The price at the time was easily the move controversial as it moved gaming consoles into a category making it out of reach for the common consumer, but I’ll never forget how the PS3 changed the gaming world into the modern era of console gaming that we see today.

detailedReviews 5: content: I have been a PlayStation user since the beginning. Most of my electronics on Sony anyway. But this review is about the PlayStation 4 so I will stick with that. At the time this came out, I wanted it so bad but unfortunately could not afford it, my best friend, who unfortunately passed away a couple years ago (I miss him every day 😥), worked with me at a retail Verizon Wireless Store. Being best friends, we were the type that wouldn't think anything of it if either of us said "hey let me borrow your car keys real quick". When he said this to me I didn't give it a second thought until.... I had to go in my trunk for something. And there it was.. I was surprised, shocked, elated, threw the moon, that I actually completely forgot what I originally went in my trunk for. But there it was, a brand new PlayStation 4, and not just the console, he purchased the Black Ops bundle.. as well as an extra controller. God rest his soul. His heart was bigger than anyone I know. I was so excited to hook it up and play that once I got home from work I did just that. The best part is I am a single mom to a now 11 year old son, who at that time was 5. So selfishly, he was 5, I let him watch (don't judge me people) 😂🤣.. Instantaneously I was hooked. This was a big jump up from the PS3, graphics were better, processor was better. Oh, and my best friend was not the type to go 'small' with anything, so of course he bought me the one with the most storage. I loved the controller interaction with the different games. Fast forward to today, being that my son is 11, it is not in his room, I have since became sick over the past 5 years with some serious chronic illnesses and my son is now a very big gamer. Not going to lie, I owe my son's gamer qualities to my best friend bc he is definitely the one that got him started. We have the PlayStation plus membership, as well as an external hard drive and 5 years of having the console, I have had zero issues. I do want the PS5, but I am having a hard time parting with my PS4 for obvious reasons, plus being on disability I cannot afford the PS5 at the moment. But honestly, there is no need. My PS4 like I said, is working great, but I am a nerd and love new tech so FOMO in general I think contributes to me wanting to get the PS5. But my system hasn't overheated, I've had no issues with the console, hooking up headsets, playing games both physical and downloaded. Bottom line, after an extremely long review, this console definitely deserves a 5 out of 5. If anyone is on the fence and not sure which to get, get the PS4!!

All round is a superb console graphically and gameplay and look
If you want a console this a great choice
And it comes with a warranty
Although I've found it perfect.

It may be nostalgic for some but for many, this console was the one they used for the longest time before the inevitable, equally as wonderful PlayStation 4 came about. PlayStation 3 was definitely the most popular, used console during my time growing up. I love playing games such as Tekkan, Vice City and Street Fighter. The performance of this console is the very best from Sony from that time and the hand-held controller is so easy to navigate once you know the PlayStation basics and user interface. This console is very durable and has lasted many years, and even though the graphics may be a little outdated for some, for me, they still look good! Overall, PlayStation 3 offers diverse gaming experiences, from epic adventures to immersive multiplayer that still work well today. Despite its age, PS3 remains a beloved console, showcasing Sony's commitment to innovation and quality gaming. I will always love it!

I highly recommend the PS4 Slim "Call Of Duty" bundle BECAUSE...
1) The PS4 Slim model is a lot more Compact, Sleeker and (Most of all) Energy Efficient
than the original PS4 model.
2) The "Call Of Duty" bundle may be the ONLY way to get a NEW PS4 unit at this time as
Production of new PS4 units has been discontinued.
I tried getting a used PS4 from a "Well Known" video game store chain.
The disc drive was defective (YES! I still use Physical Games. As well as DVDs %26 Blurays).
I exchanged it for another unit and the next disc drive was even more defective.
That's when I decided to go to Walmart.com and get me a new unit.
This PS4 Slim DID NOT let me down.
Everything works great and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to stay (or start) with PS4.
I gave the PS4 Slim 4 out of 5 stars.
If it was Backwards Compatible with previous PlayStation formats and/or...
Was able to store Personal Music/Photos/Videos (or even CD playback) like PS3...
I'd give it 5 stars. Other than that, no complaints.
If Nintendo Switch is NOT an option AND...
You don't particularly trust (or even like) Microsoft AND...
The only reason you can justify getting a PS5 is the upcoming GTA 6 game...
THIS may be the system for you.

detailedReviews 9: content: I wanted a PS4 again, just to play a couple of games in my library after selling my old console a few years ago. I had a CEX voucher so decided to try a used one.
After a lot of deliberation, I decided to spend more on a boxed console as logic implies that someone who has kept the box has looked after it more (not always the case(, and the boxed reviews were slightly better than the unboxed ones.
I am mainly pleased so will summerise the pros and cons.
THE PROS:
The console and controller are in generally very good condition. One of the USB ports on mine was very clogged up with gunky dust, which I cleared.
I checked that everything works as it should, and it does.
The controller is in excellent condition as far as I can see. Clearly used but not abused, and with no stick drift.
The idle console is quiet. It's noisy when running a disc, but I think this is normal as far as I remember.
THE CONS:
The biggest con is the smell. As soon as my console arrived, my dog began fascinated with it, sniffing the box frantically.
When I opened the package I could tell why. The console and box both reeked of cigarette smoke and dog. Once out of the box, it quickly filled up my room to the point that I had to open windows.
Honestly, this was enough to send it back, however I decided that as the console and controller were in otherwise good condition, I didn't want to tempt fate. I have cleaned the console thouroughly, going over it it with some odor nuetralising products, with some active charcoal and this has improved it somewhat. The box has had to go in the shed.
Believe me when I say, I have dogs and used to smoke myself, and this was quite extreme.
I was a little dissapointed that something this obvious would get through quality control, but as I say, everything else was too good to send it back.
All in all, a cautious recommendation, bearing in mind there is a 2 year warranty.

Is the PS4 Slim better than the PS4 Pro? When it comes to specs, no. It's the PS4 Pro that's the superior console. It offers you 'true' 4K gaming, which is difficult to get on other devices without compromising. It's also bulkier on the outside and on the inside, the GPU is a great deal faster. Although the CPU is architecturally similar, it's been clocked at a faster speed. But that doesn't necessarily mean you should buy one. The PS4 Pro is better for those who want a premium gaming experience and have a 4K TV. If you don't have a 4K TV or money to spare, the PS4 Slim might be better for you.
