Plus it has built in AI feature that can adjust picture quality, sound mode based on what are you watching. I’ve seen movie on this tv and you feel like you’ve been watching in theater. With the home theater system I can’t imagine how the sound quality will be. Black is true black on this tv you can’t see gray for black. For gaming it’s perfect tv. I’ve been playing game on pc but with the nvidia built in plus you can adjust mode based on the game you play is super awesome. I’ve been playing game on my ps5 and experience is super smooth. items 7: content: I'm coming from a 55" Plasma TV. I don't buy TV's often, so when I do, I try to buy the best that's out there at the time. After much research, I decided to purchase this 65" OLED. It was a wise decision! The picture quality on this TV is incredible. Movies and even TV shows have never looked better. The extra brightness the EVO screen provides just adds to the overall quality of the picture. And when not used for watching TV, because it sits flat against the wall, the gallery app turns it into a beautiful piece of art. I would recommend this TV to anyone. It's just simply beautiful.

No light bleed. No tearing. Everything I want in a tv. Bonus is how sleek and thin it is. It was a little heavier then I expected but still manageable for me and my spouse to lift.

items 17: content: The G1 is a technological marvel from its sleek skinny profile and wall hugging picture frame-like appearance. It’s color palette seems infinitely nuanced and vibrant while rejecting almost all ambient side lighting including sunlight. We installed the G1 ourselves replacing an almost decades-old Sharp TV of approximately the same dimensions and weight. The key of course is the installation of a remarkably clever and compact cantilevered bracket/hook design which I secured to two normally spaced vertical wall studs reinforced with a 2”x 8” wide board secured crossways in-between, for added strength The only tricky part was literally hanging the TV itself on/in the bracket which required at least two adults plus a spotter. All the cabling was already in the wall from the previous TV and a flush mounted electrical box with power socket was available in the wall behind the TV as well. Mission accomplished, but then the real frustrations have come later, in terms of mastery of the functionalities of the TV’s so-called Universal Remote specifically, vis-a-vis the Verizon cable box and its remote. We still are yet to discover all the maneuvers necessary to control live and recorded programming with the LG Universal Remote, for example. A word to the wise: it would have been nice to just have one or two dedicated buttons on the Universal Remote to select directly either Live and/or Recorded TV programming from the DVR
Otherwise, Five stars go to this superb TV.

items 18: content: I have been waiting on an entry point to this technology for some time. I wanted to let it mature enough so that possible burn-in issues have been addressed and the price per performance was in-line. The G1 met that criteria for me.
When first turned on, the G1 appeared somewhat over done in color presentation and contrast. It was brighter than I thought it would be so I was excited to see how well it would portray HDR 4k material (I have yet to do that as I don't have a capable 4k blu ray player yet). It took some getting use to the deep blacks and vibrant colors. My previous TV was on its deathbed and was performing quite poorly when we made the LG purchase so It's understandable that the G1 experience was quite different. But it still takes our breath away at times when the broadcast or source material we are watching is in a higher resolution. This is also the first "smart" TV that we have owned. Unfortunately I am not able to get the Audio Return Channel to function with my receiver which is my connection hub for audio and video, nor can I get my receiver to recognize the optical output of the TV so that I can use its apps to stream content. In talking with some a/v installers they tell me that ARC works about 85% of the time. I am also hampered by the Harmony remote that I use to control my Xfinity box, Blu ray player, XBox and Anthem receiver. The setup for the activity to use the smart TV features of the G1 doesn't go deep enough into the command structure of the Anthem receiver therefore I can't assign the Anthem to receive the optical output of the TV without using the Anthem remote. Even using the remote I could not get any sound. I am not sure I was getting an optical signal from the TV. I gave up as I can use the Xfinity for my streaming apps so its not a big deal. Honestly, if I could have bought a version of the G1 I would have got that instead. There are proably some performance related aspects that are enhanced by a smart TV but i don't see and immediate benefit based on my usage type. Those who are using the TV audio or a sound bar connected directly to the TV it will work just fine.
I look forward to some native 4k content in the future to get the full benefit of this set. Couldn't be happier.

title: Maturing technology, breathtaking picture quality

items 19: content: Bought this as a gift for family an couldn’t be more pleased I’ve had OLED before and the picture is superb straight out of the box. The contrast between black and color with the OLED technology is breathtaking. I shopped other brands and compared pictures but when you consider that every pixel can make black by turning off it just makes sense. When the content switches and there’s a brief pause you think it turned itself off. The audio is decent and switching to backward firing is plenty loud without adding extra sound equipment. Easy access to Amazon Prime, YouTube and other apps is easy. The revised Home Screen is very user friendly and the new remote is an improvement over the previous which was somewhat large and to my mind unwieldy. Love the voice remote feature. The LG Channels add a lot more content. I’ve heard that LG makes panels for other OLED brands so I figured LG knows a thing or two about them. It is pricey compared not only other brands but other LG OLED models. But check the features—the new EVO panel, better processor, yes, brighter picture the G1 to my mind is the best of the best. I’ve never regretted getting the top model. There are plenty of videos on tweaking the set even further but right now impossible enjoying it very much. If you can afford it get it.

items 20: content: I went from a plasma to a 4K OLED. Quite the jump. Im impressed with LG, they upped my warranty from 3 to 5 years out of no where for free. They added Dolby Vision support before anyone else.
I bought this TV instead of the C1 because of the EVO panel. I researched it for months. I game so the EVO panel was worth the extra money.
The biggest feedback that I can offer to LG would be to incorporate ease of use picture quality. You can go through all the picture settings and adjust everything the way you like it but its not an easy thing to do. Id like a feature that automatically updates the picture settings to the best selections. The other thing is I watch a lot of sports, particularly football, both American and European. There is a blur around the players against the field of green. It doesnt jump out at you but you can notice it. The same thing happened with my old plasma and Ive seen it on ever other TV Ive ever seen. Im sure there is some setting somewhere that needs to be adjusted but I dont know what it is.
The TV does not included a stand, even though this flagship model is meant to be wall mounted I would have liked it to include the G model triangle feet.
The picture quality is awesome, I went back and watched Game Of Thrones and the infamous dark scenes were so much better on this TV. I also watched Marvel movies in 4k and they were so cool. I play FPS and this TV processes input lag so much faster than my plasma, it is noticeable to me and makes a big difference. Ghost of Tsuhima never looked better. COD with the HDR and texture packs is crisp and fast. Cant wait to trade in my ps4 pro for a ps5 and really take advantage of this TV.

items 21: content: I bought this TV because the last TV that I had was giving me issues with the WIFI card as well as the overall viewing experience. After a TON of research, I finally decided to go for the LG G1 and have been BLOWN away by the quality of the image and overall feature set. I will be 100% honest and admit that I do not use the apps in webOS, but instead what through a Google TV Dongle.
This TV is HEAVY. It took a long time and a lot of sweat to get it onto the wall. Mind you, it was a tight fit with my setup. I digress.
Overall, it has taken even the most mundane of content and elevated it. The only thing that I can say that's bad is the UI with the webOS. It's stuttery, and that hinders the experience overall.
I play a lot of video games since I have a gaming YouTube channel. I played all sorts of games across multiple platforms (PS5, Xbox, and Switch). The Game Optimizer is great but puts everything on the TV to the max. I question how long the longevity of the TV will be with everything turned so high. We'll just have to wait and see.
Overall though, I'd recommend this television. I've heard great things about the other TVs at this price range and know people that own other high-end OLED TVs. Personally, I felt like the LG G1, at this price point, was worth the features and overall experience while watching TV, Shows, or playing video games. The LG G1 has not disappointed.

title: Blown away by image quality and features
type: REVIEWS
items 22: content: I bought this tv after looking at many videos on LG OLEDs and others. The reason I got this tv over the equivalent Sony OLEDs is because of the gaming features. LG has done an absolutely amazing job supporting the latest and greatest gaming features (i.e. VRR, 120Hz) while also making them work extremely well. In addition, they have been quick to update their newest televisions with more features and fixes. The picture quality is incredible and everything looks fantastic. The tv itself looks great but at the moment I can't wall mount it. One of the negatives of this tv is that it comes with a wall mount but no feet, which are sold separately. It would have been great if they included both in the box. I was blown away to find out that the remote (which itself is great) works with my surround sound and my Xbox. I have a ten year old set and it is still able to turn it on and off and change the volume. Everything about this tv is fantastic, except one other thing. The tv has more glare than I would like but this is not a deal breaker by any means, just something to keep in mind. Overall, an amazing tv that I am glad I bought and try to show off as much as I can.

items 23: content: This TV was a Christmas gift to ourselves and we liked all the reviews we found researching it. It was a struggle for a week or so asking LG and/or other companies about which legs work on this model. We needed this on a table for the time being and we got lots of support that the GX stand would work and it worked out great. We had a professional install which I recommend as well. We love the many video settings and all the LG UI settings for the best picture for what you are watching. You can also tweak the video settings in many ways. We are very happy with the many features. The gallery is fantastic and is quite beautiful. I love that all the HDMI ports are 2.2 and support the best picture quality a tv can have for my PS5 and media sticks. This tv also works great with my previous Polk soundbar that supports Dolby. The lg galley g1 is a testament to what lg is truly capable of in its high end tvs. After wall mounting this tv it is like a piece of art. Super thin and easy to setup. Thin bezels, web os is the best smart tv os hands down. This tv blows away some sets of equal value in future set. Also the new evo panel that lg uses rivals led tvs in brightness while offering the darkest blacks typically offered by oled displays.
