detailedReviews: detailedReviews 1: content: Product Quality:The Sony A6400 has a sturdy build that comes at the cost of added weight. The exterior design is simple but sharp. The silver units were no longer available, by the way, and I've already wrapped mine with a dark gold film as seen in the picture.
Performance:This camera is feature packed and it's Auto-Focus Continuous (tracking) is its best selling feature. The only downside to this camera is the lack of In-Body Image Stabilization so consider that when getting another lens (or go for fast shutter speeds if you can).
Best Feature:The wireless transfer to phone is very convenient. Video and audio quality is excellent as well.
This camera is competitively priced compared to the local market tag. Note, however, that this has no local warranty. Seller has offered 1 year warranty but the unit will have to be shipped back to Hong Kong. Clarify with seller before buying. The product was sealed when delivered and no defects were found up to now (nearly 1 month since delivered). Accessories were complete and the manual is written in English. It would, however, be more appreciated if the parcel was wrapped with a waterproof material as mine came with the brown box shown in the picture. Fortunately, the parcel arrived earlier than expected with no signs of damage (no dent nor liquid splashes). Thank you seller! Will consider your shop again in the future.

detailedReviews 2: content: It's been a long time between Sony cameras because my last one did everything I needed, but tech moves on. Although this isn't the current this is great value. I've had it a month and for most of that time I've been travelling. This is the worthy successor to my A55slt. Light, smart, vid and still, amazing low light no flash (Museums and art galleries) charges well (buy the travel charger for a smaller block and longer cable) handled Arctic cold.
Sure a longer battery life would be great, and the small body won't please people with big hands, but it's agile.
The power zoom kit lens is a good all rounder.
Negs. Auto has had some moments struggling with white balance resulting in some snow pis being very blue. The menu is complex, spend some time pulling out your most accessed functions into the favourites.
I do miss 2 things my A55 had. The reversible back screen and the strap The new strap is plastic scratchy vs my old one with a woven edge.

detailedReviews 3: content: Bought this camera for two reasons - backpacking and portrait photography.
Backpacking: 5/5
-Weather resistant. I bought this camera over the older 6000 models because the material felt more durable.
-Very lightweight! I added a Peak Capture Clip to my backpack for easy access and it worked out amazingly.
-Focal range on the 16-50mm included lens is great for landscapes
-Love the flip-out screen for selfies
-Fantastic auto-focus! This was a huge step-up from my Canon Rebel T6 DSLR.
Portraits: 4/5
-Color science is not as strong as Canon cameras. There is a slight green tint to all my photos.
-Eye tracking is FANTASTIC. I can count the lashes on my clients for most photos.
-Included lens is good (but not great) for indoor light scenarios. Lower apertures (f/1.8 - f/3.5) have worked better for me in eliminating noise indoors.
-You'll probably want to get a better lens for portraits
For the pricepoint, it's a great deal. The downsides for this camera are really just that you don't get a full-frame and there is no IBIS. You'll need to keep crop-factor in mind when purchasing lenses.

detailedReviews 4: content: Camera is OK. Use it for travel, small size with small lenses, compared to full frame.
Video record button size and placement is terrible.
Auto focus at an airshow was terrible - had to revert to manual. (too much hunting for focus.)
Phone/computer connection software is terrible.
Menu system on camera is frustrating.
Extended viewing screen cannot move left or right (just up ans down - not bad for selfy.)
Camera take good pictures, relatively small, good for travel, unobtrusive, accessories & additional lenses reasonably priced.
Got the Camera on sale so OK with shortcomings but next version - a6700 is a premium jump in price.
If your really serious about photography go full frame.

detailedReviews 5: content: So I bought this camera at 2020 back in China. This year I came to England to study. It was all good until I came here, I even use it to took some pictures when I make my connection in Dubai. When I arrived in England, suddenly the panel buttons are all messed up. Buttons supposed to adjust the exposure now direct to replay page, and it happened to several buttons. Now since it’s hard to get this machine fixed in my city, I have mailed it to the Sony technology center in Bridgend, still don’t know how much they’re gonna charge me for this repair. I’m confused because I didn’t do anything to damage the camera, this problem just occurred, and if I find out about it earlier, it would be cheaper to repair this back in China. Now I’m just waiting for email after they make a fully assessment about my camera, dying to take some beautiful photos of the astonishing view of England.

detailedReviews 7: content: The camera itself was great, and is still very good. However, it's been almost 5 years since it's had a firmware update, so it's already been abandoned by Sony. There are always ways to improve a product after release, but they've chosen not to do so. In fact, it's gotten worse. The companion (phone) app has been replaced by one that doesn't work at all. It's not that it's clunky or unintuitive, it straight-up doesn't work (1.8 rating on the store). The menu system in the camera still refers to the old app (again, because the firmware is 5 years old), which is probably why the new app doesn't work.
This camera was released February 2019. The last firmware update was June 2019. Meaning that Sony supported this camera for a total of 4 months, which is disgusting. Overall, I've spent about $5000 on this ecosystem, but I'm very likely to switch to Fujifilm or Canon. Either way, I'm obviously not spending any more on products that aren't supported. They seem to support the full-frame cameras better, but having that size/weight of camera defeats the entire point of mirrorless. I'd advise against anyone buying any Sony photography gear.

detailedReviews 8: content: Slight renewed to the photo industry. Previous to using this camera I use to take pictures witt my camera phones. I purchased this camera with the expectation that it can do things that my phone cannot. It has done above and beyond with wonderful expectations of capturing moments that my phone could not. I highly recommend purchasing this camera. Also the benefit of it allowing me to share immediately with friends and family is something that I extremely love by capturing within the moment. It’s easier to use and I like the multiple options i get you in terms of accessories. You will not be disappointed.

detailedReviews 9: content: I'm sure this camera is great as all the reviews indicate, but this is more about Best Buy and their service. First, I ordered the a6400 and it showed up two days later. Problem was, the box was open, there was no packing to protect the camera, and the camera packaging itself was damaged. Sure enough, when inspecting the camera, the viewfinder was shattered. Now comes the fun part. Returning the camera. I elected to do it via the BB Chat, because I was wasting time going through all the prompts on the phone. Trying to actually get to a human seemed futile. So after a lengthy chat, I was told that a replacement camera was on its way and would arrive today. No dice. So I checked my BB account, and found that the replacement order was cancelled. So now, I'm going through the prompts again to speak to a human. When I finally do, I was told that the backend team, whoever that is, cancelled the order and that I will have to wait for the returned camera to arrive to BB, get the refund, and re-order. I'm trying to give BB a grand and boy do they make it hard. First off, how do you sell a thousand dollar camera and put it in a box twice the camera's size and not provide and packing material? The box also had no tape to seal it. It's some sort of box that has it's own adhesive that obviously didn't do well in colder temps. Anyway, like I said at the beginning, I'm sure the camera is great, but like all the big box stores, the service is garbage. Serves me right, I suppose.

detailedReviews 10: content: There is a lot to learn, but the default settings are fine. I have explored and I now think I know how to use the various settings. It takes phenomenal pictures. My main grizzle is that, despite 30 year career in IT, I can't get either "Links to SmartPhone" and "Send to computer" facilities to work. PlayMemories Mobile does not exist on the Apple AppStore, though are some suspicious similar apps. The Wifi Connect feature asked me to "press WPS button to access". I happened to know this button is on my router. It tried to connect but just hung. Instead I just remove the SD memory card as always, but you can also plug in a cable to your computer. A camera case option should have been offered at the same time. Note that it is heavier and bigger than a compact camera. Irritatingly, the camera comes with 12 pieces of paper and booklets, each of which you have to check before you throw them away.
