detailedReviews 5: content: This is a great watch-- I have one I bought almost 30 years ago (it used to be called the "Illuminator") and it still works fine. I bought another because I could not find the first, which I located the day after I bought the current model (duh!). The current model does not light up as bright and the alarm does not sound as long, but it keeps time perfectly and looks exactly like the original. After several years the rubber wristband will fracture, but I replaced it with a cheap woven nylon band that lasts for decades. The battery lasts for the promised seven years (be sure someone with experience changes the battery so that they do not injure the alarm -- that happened with my wife's identical watch). Most amazing of all, the price (a little over $10 US) has not changed in all those years. I mainly use it when I travel, especially overseas, so that I do not look like a rich American (my gold Swiss watch stays home). Six stars! Recommended! (PS It arrived by US mail much sooner than estimated. )

It has a stop-watch, alarm and you can even mod the thing pretty easily. Very pleased with these, and you can get a lifetime supply by just ordering a couple since they last so long naturally. They can take a beating -- you can't go wrong. Cheap quick mod = cut out the resistor to the LED and solder a new, brighter LED in it's place. You can even change colors if green isn't your favorite. ;) I've got a purple LED one and I am going to make an orange LED one for the Fall. It takes just a few minutes to mod it and then you can see the screen much clearer when needed. Cheap and easy for some added efficacy. Really nice watch and would recommend. Great supplier here.

I'm not going to cover all the details that others already have, but the two things I'm especially keen on are accuracy and water resistance. When I received it I set it to the exact time with a GPS-related app on my phone. Ten days later, the watch is still spot on. The specifications claim a rather self-deprecating +/- 30 sec/month. As others have discovered, the watch has a reasonable water resistance. I haven't tried swimming with it but I wear it in the shower, no problems. It's always advisable not to press any buttons when in water, of course. So although it was never intended as a watch for use in water, it's good enough for general exposure. About the only thing I'm not thrilled about is its tiny size, but for me, that's not a deal breaker. My wrists are not especially large. Happy to own this iconic piece of horological history.

I chose the same model again because the old watch has served me well, keeping good time. The old F91-W casing was robust, suffering only minor damage - a cracked and scratched screen. The only weakness I found was the strap, which split at the spring bars after some years' use. I replaced it with a NATO strap. This model now has 'cult' status - just google to discover its accidental appearances in the movies and other interesting facts.

So I had to clean the watch inside first.\nAfter this the buttons worked fine, but the back-light still flickers somewhat.\n\nNow after ~1 month of use, significant amounts of water are able to enter the watch during normal use, through the front. This is where the seller replaced the glass plate, which indicates a poor seal for the replaced front glass.\n\nOverall, you pay quite a hefty premium for this watch with simply a replaced glass plate, which isn't sealed properly, along with the other issues.

It’s definitely not explosion proof or shock proof either. It’s a thin plastic layer that will protect the original screen from scratches or dents. Definitely love the appearance on the watch because of the minimalist aesthetic.

detailedReviews 91: content: Note to buyers: The seller does not use genuine Casio. I've been wearing F91s for years and unfortunately this replica misses the mark when examined closely. Its a good concept and I wish it was applied to genuine Casio. The buttons stick out about 1.5m beyond a genuine Casio (see photo), and takes considerably more pressure to register a click. This would have been unaffected the the mod (if the seller claims otherwise). Additionally, The rubber stamping (for holes/debossed ovals) are a about a mm off, and the plastic texture is different (more stiff, plastic-y, not as rubbered as the OEM) . It's a $15 dollar watch-- you'd think what's the incentive with using a fake? Well-- why spend 15 USD when you can pay 5 for reps and charge the different to us. If you don't mind the slight imperfections, and the lack of OEM, buy it.

But, it can get a bit itchy after some time, especially when I've been sweating. After wearing the watch for a week and a bit already, some of the threading of the band has started to come loose. I can confirm this is from typical wear; it's not from catching on anything, or from me roughly handling the band.\n\nI'm giving this a 5/5 because although the material may not be for me, the product was delivered just as advertised. It might just be that this strap isn't my preference in the long run.

Because though the watch is still working fine, the strap always breaks and as far as I know it's not replaceable. It's very annoying. But it's a good watch, cheap and sort of good value apart from the inevitable breaking of the strap sooner or later.

The light feature, however, is very dim and makes seeing the time in the dark impossible. The buttons on the side are fairly prominent and make accidental bumping common. I have inadvertently activated the alarm twice in the six days I’ve owned the watch.
